Today, the SpaceConnect Association issued the following statement following the FCC’s September Open Meeting, attributable to Executive Director David Redl:

“SpaceConnect applauds the FCC for making more spectrum available for satellite services. Satellite connectivity is growing quickly, and providers need access to spectrum to keep pace. We’re pleased to see the Commission looking ahead and making room for more innovation and competition.“

We also welcome the FCC’s continued work to modernize and streamline the satellite licensing process. Clear, predictable rules will provide all-important regulatory clarity for our members.”
