The SpaceConnect Association releases the following statement, attributable to Executive Director David Redl:
“Today’s vote marks an important step forward for competition and American leadership in space. The legislation will do exactly what its name suggests — streamline the satellite licensing processes so multiple NGSO providers can connect more unconnected communities more quickly. The clear deadlines provided by this bipartisan bill will keep our work with the FCC moving, shortening delays and expediting satellite deployment. We commend the subcommittee for its leadership and urge the full House to pass this important bill quickly."
